Welcome

The original St. Matthew's School was built in 1841, in Lupin Street, at the same time as St. Matthew's Church.

St. Matthew's is a voluntary controlled Church of England School and has close links with the Diocese of Birmingham and St. Matthew's Church. The Christian Calendar is important in the school. We also acknowledge and consider other faiths and feel that it is only through knowledge and understanding of their faiths and cultures that we can hope to afford pupils a full place in society where differences are valued and equality assured.

Our School Prayer

As we finish this School day,

Guide us safely along the way.

As another School day ends,

Let us hope we're all still friends.

Teach us then to make amends,

For any wrongs we've done today.

Amen
